Work Environment

This role is primarily a home care setting, where you will visit patients in various residential environments across Newburgh and surrounding areas. You will engage with clients in the comfort of their own homes, allowing you to develop a deeper understanding of their day-to-day challenges and rehabilitation needs. The position primarily involves a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, giving you weekends free to recharge and focus on your personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify their musculoskeletal conditions and to design customized rehabilitation plans that address individual goals and needs.
• Implement a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training, to enhance mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Instruct patients on recovery strategies as well as educate them about injury prevention and long-term wellness practices.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic and optimal patient care.
• Maintain detailed patient records and treatment documentation that comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring continual assessment of patient progress and response to therapy.
• Regularly review and modify rehabilitation plans based on patient feedback and recovery progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients range from post-operative recovery individuals to those with chronic conditions affecting their mobility and daily function. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including elderly adults looking to regain their independence, athletes recovering from injuries, and individuals with debilitating conditions that impact their physical capabilities. Your ability to build rapport and trust with patients will be essential in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; candidates with a Master's or Doctorate degree are highly encouraged to apply.
• A strong dedication to providing patient-centered care and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, with outpatient experience viewed positively.

Compensation and Benefits
