Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with clients from your home office. You will be part of a dynamic outpatient team dedicated to serving young individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our typical workweek spans from Monday to Friday, with hours scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some evening shifts may be necessary to accommodate patient needs. We leverage technology efficiently in our practice, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and care plans seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to gauge the needs and requirements of children and adolescents, utilizing both standardized tests and clinical interviews.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each patient, integrating their developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, tailored to the specific issues faced by young individuals.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers, equipping them with tools to foster a nurturing environment and address behavioral concerns.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care, ensuring comprehensive treatment strategies that enhance patient outcomes.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention during emergencies involving young patients, employing de-escalation techniques and support strategies.
\n
• Educate families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to support ongoing care.
\n
• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development activities to sharpen your skills and contribute effectively to the team environment.

• Stay informed about current research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health, incorporating new knowledge into your clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on treating children and adolescents experiencing a spectrum of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. By working closely with young clients and their families, you will play a pivotal role in helping them navigate their mental health journeys and develop coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with children and adolescents.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic methodologies, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Demonstrated experience providing both individual and family therapy sessions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, child-centric approach.

• Ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients and their families.
\n
• Competence in using electronic health record systems and other relevant computer applications.
\n
• Capability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
