Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our exemplary rehabilitation team in a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Falls Church, Virginia. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the recovery and well-being of clients, helping them regain their mobility and independence. Our preferred schedule for this role is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care as aligned with treatment plans established by licensed Physical Therapists.
• Evaluate and assist residents in therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and daily functional movement techniques, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
• Document patient progress and effectively communicate your findings with therapy and nursing teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, safety measures, and techniques to promote recovery in their daily lives.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings and uphold all documentation standards as required by regulatory entities.
• Inspire a positive environment that not only fosters recovery but also enhances overall patient morale.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with elderly residents and individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, or illness, who require rehabilitation services within a skilled nursing framework. This role is critical in helping patients develop their strength, improve their mobility, and regain their independence, significantly affecting their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, laying a foundational understanding of physical therapy principles.
• Possession of an active Virginia PTA license or eligibility for licensure in Virginia.
• Demonstrated strong clinical judgment, teamwork skills, and an understanding of physical therapy modalities.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting, enhancing your ability to provide high-quality care.

Compensation and Benefits
