Major Food Group, the team that brought you Carbone, is hiring a Pastry Sous Chef forto join our team! MFG is hiring experienced Pastry Sous Chefwith a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism. RESPONSIBILITIES Create and prepare all pastry items as required by the business Prepare, clean and organize ingredients for use in the kitchen Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times Oversee a team of junior pastry cooks and other staff members as necessary Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients Carry out administrative duties to maintain an efficient workspace REQUIREMENTS Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required Culinary diploma with a concentration in Pastry Arts or equivalent in experience strongly preferred Team-orientated and positive attitude Strong communication skills a must BENEFITS We offer competitive salary, medical/dental/vision insurance, TransitChek discount, Referral Rewards program, a generous dining program, and progressive paid time off.
