Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Delaware, OH. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities with commercial, industrial, and municipal clients, including prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and follow-up on inbound leads. This role develops and maintains client relationships, prepares and presents proposals, collaborates with operations and estimating teams on project scope and pricing, and supports contract negotiations. The position involves tracking pipeline activity, maintaining accurate CRM records, and reporting on sales performance and market trends. The Business Development Manager will also represent Paveworks at industry events, foster long-term partnerships, and contribute to strategic planning for growth in central Ohio and neighboring markets. Qualifications Business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing new contracts. Client relationship management, account management, and customer service skills to build and sustain long-term partnerships. Basic knowledge of construction or asphalt paving services, with the ability to understand project scopes, timelines, and cost drivers. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage decision makers across commercial, industrial, and municipal sectors. Organizational and time management skills, including CRM use, pipeline tracking, and accurate documentation of opportunities and activities. Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively with field and office teams, and travel locally to client locations and job sites. Prior experience in B2B sales, construction, paving, or related industries preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or equivalent experience is beneficial.
