Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatments designed to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore mobility. This includes developing, improving, and maintaining functional independence in alignment with each patient's personalized treatment plan.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities, employing diagnostic and prognostic tests that examine muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Design and implement tailored exercise programs combining manual therapeutic techniques, guided exercises, and functional activities to motivate and support clients in their rehabilitation journeys.
• Utilize various treatment modalities, including traction, massage, and physical agents, to facilitate recovery and enhance healing outcomes.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, offering recommendations to referring physicians when modifications are necessary to improve patient functionality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients dealing with orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and age-related musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse patient population also includes individuals from pediatric to geriatric age groups, allowing for a broad spectrum of treatment experiences. Providing empathetic, culturally competent care is essential as you engage with patients and their families, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the treatment processes.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• At least two years of professional experience in settings such as orthopedic clinics or home healthcare, particularly focusing on geriatrics, acute care, or outpatient therapy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic assessment, treatment techniques, and individualized patient care planning is a must.

Compensation and Benefits

Thriving Journey Therapy offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, additionally featuring performance bonuses based on individual and organizational success.
