Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial mental health evaluations and document case histories, paving the way for personalized treatment plans.

• Monitor and assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health regularly, adjusting interventions as necessary.
\n
• Design coherent and effective intervention strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups to address their unique mental health challenges.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open communication and therapeutic growth.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical personnel, to implement comprehensive care plans.

• Follow up with clients and referrers, particularly with those who have recently been admitted to hospitals to ensure seamless transitions in their care.

• Educate and support families and primary caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and effective coping strategies.

• Engage in continuous monitoring of clients' progress, providing encouragement and adjustments to treatment plans when required.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, including AVATAR, to document client progress and treatment plans.
\n
• Solid understanding of the implications of physical health conditions and addiction on mental health treatment.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in an understandable manner.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous hands-on experience as a mental health counselor with diverse populations.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology, including the effects of medications commonly prescribed in mental health treatment.

• Experience in providing family therapy and managing couples' therapy sessions effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
