Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that consider both psychological and physical health factors influencing patient well-being.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, grounded in evidence-based techniques tailored to different demographic and cultural contexts.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing support during mental health emergencies, utilizing a compassionate and patient-centered approach.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring high-quality care and accountability.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals facing a variety of challenges such as chronic pain conditions, autoimmune disorders, dual diagnoses, and substance use disorders. You'll have the opportunity to work with both youth and families, ensuring that interventions cater to their unique life circumstances and support resilience and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within New Jersey.

• A deep understanding of mental health issues, especially those experienced by individuals with co-occurring medical needs.

• Strong experience in collaborative settings, particularly involving integrated care solutions alongside healthcare providers.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with team members, patients, and their families.

• A solid commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, ensuring ethical standards, and securing patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications relevant to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional experiences, such as working in integrated care settings or direct services for patients with complex health profiles, will be given preference. Demonstrated efficacy in delivering therapy in various formats—particularly in telehealth—is highly advantageous.
