Lab Support Technician

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Lab Support Technician to support clinical laboratory operations in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves sample processing, equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and compliance with regulatory standards in a fully onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Sort, scan, and assign sequence numbers to samples across laboratory areas
• Process samples for testing and prepare reagents under supervision
• Label and stain hematology slides; number HDL tubes for lipid testing
• Perform glassware and consumable cleaning, drying, and restocking
• Execute daily assignments accurately and complete non-complex waived tests

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate may be required
• 0-1 year relevant laboratory experience or equivalent education/training combination
• Attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures strictly
• Effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills
• Data recording and documentation capability
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
• Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
