Our state-of-the-art facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is designed to cater to a wide array of health needs, primarily focusing on patients with private medical insurance. Our treatment methodology not only emphasizes rehabilitation but also prioritizes education and proactive wellness.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in our well-equipped home care setting, where collaboration is key. You will work alongside a team of two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a stimulating environment dedicated to patient-centered care. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent and manageable work life.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and identify the goals and functional needs of each patient within our healthcare system.
• Efficiently manage a patient load of approximately one patient per hour to ensure a focused and personalized treatment approach.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and diverse therapeutic techniques tailored for individual recovery needs.
• Implement cost-effective treatments aimed at improving clients' mobility while minimizing reliance on medication and preventative surgical interventions.
• Engage patients in their rehabilitation journey by motivating them to achieve and sustain their functional capabilities.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of treatment effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly, ensuring transparency and high-quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consulting with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult patients undergoing outpatient treatment. Many clients come to us seeking recovery from orthopedic injuries, chronic pain conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Your role will emphasize not just recovery, but also the promotion of a healthy lifestyle through improved strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York.
• No disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques to enhance patient treatment.
• Capability to design and implement effective exercise regimens based on individual patient assessments.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Background in utilizing evidence-based methodologies and fostering teamwork in clinical environments.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans.
