Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite, delivering care in home settings across Albany, NY. You will work within a state-of-the-art facility equipped for sports medicine and rehabilitation, allowing you to provide high-quality care that includes advanced treatment techniques. Collaborating with a dedicated team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will have access to a rich pool of knowledge and experiences that enhance the therapy environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Physical Therapist will be diverse and impactful, encompassing the following responsibilities:

• Assess patients' needs to develop and implement personalized care plans that address their specific treatment goals.
• Manage a patient load effectively, allowing for an average of one patient per hour, ensuring focused attention and care.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques and manual therapy methods to facilitate optimal recovery outcomes.
• Enhance patient mobility and function through tailored fitness and wellness programs, adjusting strategies as needed to meet evolving patient requirements.
• Minimize reliance on medications through therapeutic interventions, providing patients with natural and alternative options to surgical procedures.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment journey, promoting a positive mindset and engagement in their recovery process.
• Document each patient's progress thoroughly, maintaining accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographics primarily consist of individuals with orthopedic conditions, encompassing a diverse range of ages and physical challenges. You will work with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that limit their mobility and functionality. The focus of your care will be to enhance their independence and quality of life through specialized rehabilitation and restorative practices.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• A clean record with no past disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques.
• Experience in developing and implementing exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred for applicants:

• Prior experience in a home care setting, particularly with orthopedic outpatient therapy.
• A history of implementing successful rehabilitation programs that improved patient outcomes.
• Expertise in advanced therapeutic modalities or specialized rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
