Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is primarily onsite at our Hillsdale clinic, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources tailored for effective rehabilitation. Working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will engage in a dynamic work setting that fosters teamwork and constant learning. You will be sharing your expertise with a collaborative group of healthcare professionals that include orthopedic surgeons, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation aides.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their strengths, weaknesses, and rehabilitation needs, utilizing both clinical and observational methods.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate hands-on therapy, manual techniques, and movement-based interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients regarding exercises, lifestyle modifications, and injury prevention techniques to facilitate their recovery and enhance long-term well-being.
• Monitor progress and regularly update treatment strategies based on patient responses and recovery benchmarks.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation through our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platform to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicate proactively with other healthcare professionals regarding patient status and contribute to interdisciplinary care coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic focuses on a diverse patient population, primarily those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, acute injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual. Our aim is to equip patients not only to recover their physical capabilities but also to instill confidence in their ability to return to everyday activities.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted New Jersey Physical Therapist license in good standing.
• Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and their families, fostering trust and understanding.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy.
• Experience using EMR systems, with a preference for WebPT or similar platforms.
• Clean professional record with no prior board actions.

Preferred Experience

• Advanced certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy (e.g., orthopedics, sports medicine) are a plus.
• Experience working with an interdisciplinary team in a rehabilitation setting.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or patient education initiatives is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging between $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
