Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver immediate short-term crisis counseling to non-violent patients undergoing mental health episodes, working alongside law enforcement to facilitate appropriate interventions.

• Engage in direct collaboration with police officers during mental health responses, providing expert guidance for de-escalation tactics and effective communication strategies.

• Assist in training police staff on best practices for addressing mental health crises, ensuring a well-informed approach that prioritizes safety for all individuals involved.

• Conduct case management activities by liaising with external agencies, including the Department of Mental Health and psychiatric facilities, to ensure continuity of care and follow-up for clients.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with applicable regulations.

• Facilitate psychiatric evaluations in the field and assess the need for 5150/5585 applications for involuntary detention when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n
