This position is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance, and is facilitated through our advanced telehealth system. Our virtual setting enables you to reach clients across Houston, Texas, ensuring that mental health resources are accessible to all, regardless of location. The role typically involves working Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with potential flexibility as patient needs dictate.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with Backpack Mental Support, you will:

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments that employ evidence-based practices to create personalized treatment plans aligned with clients’ unique needs.

• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to provide effective treatment strategies.

• Maintain detailed and confidential clinical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other legal and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to discuss client progress and refine treatment strategies.

• Participate in case consultations and peer review meetings to continuously elevate the quality of care provided.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources, empowering them with knowledge to support their healing processes.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health, integrating new methodologies into your practice where appropriate.

The clients you will serve range from children to adults experiencing various mental health issues. Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

• A Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas.

• A strong understanding of solution-based psychotherapy methods, allowing you to uniquely adapt your therapeutic approach for each client.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and connection with clients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
