Rhythm & Motion Physical Therapy and Wellness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our rehabilitation facility located in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist in our facility, you will work in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our center is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and resources to assist you in providing the highest level of care. You will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule that allows you to excel personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Comply with relevant state practice acts, ensuring a thorough understanding of the legal frameworks governing the practice of physical therapy.
• Conduct comprehensive examinations to evaluate patients with functional limitations and disabilities, developing individualized treatment plans based on initial assessments.
• Implement and adapt treatment protocols leveraging your clinical expertise and patient presentations while remaining responsive to the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, providing consultations as needed and making timely decisions regarding necessary adjustments to patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to reflect the patient's course of rehabilitation.
• Participate in discharge planning, ensuring patients receive appropriate follow-up care after they complete their therapy.
• Engage actively in facility meetings, sharing insights and strategies for improving patient access and quality of care.
• Commit to ongoing training and compliance with all corporate and clinical regulations, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Your focus will be on creating tailored rehabilitation plans that accommodate their specific needs and goals. Your expertise will directly contribute to patients achieving their recovery milestones and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Must be state licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of outpatient orthopedic experience is required.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in advanced orthopedic rehabilitation techniques, manual therapy, and patient education will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
