Work Environment\n

This role offers a fully remote work setting, allowing for flexible arrangements that benefit both our staff and clients. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts necessary based on patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, specifically considering the unique psychological and social dynamics affecting older adults.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address cognitive changes, physical health conditions, and psychosocial factors.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual psychotherapy and family counseling, to effectively manage geriatric psychiatric issues.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and various other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and mental health support, particularly during acute episodes involving elderly patients.

• Educate both patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment pathways, and accessible community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in accordance with legal standards and best practices within electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.

• Stay updated on current research, best practices, and emerging trends in geriatric mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, addressing a range of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety disorders, and cognitive impairments. Many of our patients face adjustment challenges related to health transitions, loss, and changes in living situations. Your work will be crucial in providing compassionate care and improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California is a must.

• While not mandatory, a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

• A strong understanding of geriatric mental health conditions, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions is essential.

• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered, empathetic care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
