Work Environment

This position is based onsite at a local school in Corpus Christi, Texas. Working in a vibrant and dynamic educational environment, you will have the opportunity to engage with students, parents, and staff, ensuring that health-related concerns are addressed promptly. The school setting promotes a collaborative atmosphere where healthcare professionals work closely with educators to foster student health and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including history taking and physical exams, tailored to address pain management needs.
• Order, interpret, and analyze appropriate diagnostic tests to guide treatment decisions.
• Develop and manage personalized care plans focusing on medication management, encompassing both narcotic and non-narcotic options, aligning with established guidelines.
• Evaluate patients for potential interventional pain treatments, such as epidural steroid injections, trigger point injections, and occipital nerve blocks.
• Perform clinical procedures, including trigger point and botulinum toxin injections, as well as managing temporary spinal cord stimulator leads.
• Maintain accurate and actionable documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and school protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on the pediatric population attending the school, as well as their families. This demographic presents a unique set of healthcare needs, particularly with respect to physical and emotional pain management, requiring tailored approaches to engage and support young patients in their health journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing.
• An active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
• Specialization or coursework in geriatrics or pediatric care is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management and familiarity with various pain intervention techniques.
• Clinical experience in critical care, outpatient settings, telemedicine, or hospital environments is highly encouraged.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary that ranges from $85,000 to $160,000 annually. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
