Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) at Presidio County, you will take on a range of responsibilities that will directly contribute to the wellbeing of our clients:

• Develop and implement personalized therapeutic strategies for clients to address specific mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to create accurate treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Facilitate individual, group, family, and couple therapy sessions in accordance with the evidence-based practices and methodologies.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused techniques to empower clients.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, while ensuring confidentiality and privacy for all clients.

• Participate in ongoing professional development workshops to stay current on the latest mental health research and treatment modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will come from diverse backgrounds, representing various age groups, cultures, and presenting issues. You will work primarily with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, including trauma, substance use disorders, and relational difficulties. Your adaptability and cultural competence in addressing the needs of different demographics will be vital in providing exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally within a clinical setting.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and the impact they have on individuals and families.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport with clients and collaborating with colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience are preferred and will be given additional consideration:

Compensation and Benefits\n

The estimated salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 annually, based on experience and demonstration of skills. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:
