We are seeking a Government Property Specialist/Government Property Administrator  who will be charged with responsibilities for the control, accountability, and reporting of government and customer owned property in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and contract requirements within one of Areté’s key business sectors. Government property may include Special Test Equipment, Equipment, Special Tooling and Material

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Monitor Government Property receiving, identification, storage, movement, and issue operations; enforce compliance with established procedures.
• Support a culture of improvement and efficiency related to Government Property management and accountability. Identify process gaps and perform root cause investigations / corrective action recommendations as needed.
• Recommend and help implement enhancements to property management processes, tools, and training materials.
• Provide guidance and training to technical and operations members in the assigned business sector and serve as a resource for interpreting policies and procedures.
• In collaboration with the Government Property System Lead, prepare government property accountability reports as needed, such as periodic inventories, loss/damage/destruction reports, and closeout documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Contracts, Program Management, IT, Security, Supply Chain, Production, and Technical/Operations teams, to ensure proper accountability throughout contract execution.
• Work closely with the corporate Government Property System Lead to maintain accurate records of government property in accordance with the company’s approved property management system.
• Interpret and apply FAR Part 45, DFARS Part 245, and other guidance and contract specific property clauses when executing daily responsibilities.
• Support internal and external audits by conducting inventories, providing required documentation, and responding to inquiries.
• Support Contractor Self Assessments and monitoring of subcontractor compliance with government property flowdown requirements.

This position is based in the Tucson, AZ office, with periodic travel requirements to other Arete offices. This is an exempt, non-supervisory, full-time position.

Experiences and Background We Look For (Required Skills):

• High level of knowledge of and experience with government property management requirements under FAR Part 45 and DFARS Part 245.
• Strong desire to learn technical aspects of the business and product lines to understand internal/external operations and material and equipment requirements (e.g… Special Test Equipment, Equipment, Special Tooling and Material).
• Always maintains respectful and professional behavior, and excels at effective communication, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues, management and executives.
• Minimum 3 years prior relevant experience in Government Property management.
• U.S. citizenship is required. Top Secret national security clearance eligibility is required for this position.
• Travel requirement: approximately 30% (CA, VA)

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills):

• Advanced skills in all MS Office Suite programs.
• Experience with eQuip asset management software
• An active Top Secret national security clearance / Top Secret eligibility

The salary range for this role is $100,000/yr to $125,000/yr ; however, Areté considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
