Work Environment

This role is situated in a leading orthopedic outpatient office within a hospital setting in Burlingame, offering a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative work environment. You will work Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing you with a consistent schedule that helps maintain work-life balance. The facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and technologies, ensuring that you have the resources you need to effectively assist in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in executing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Conduct patient assessments to gauge progress and provide feedback to the supervising physical therapist.
• Provide hands-on support to patients during therapy sessions, guiding them through exercises, balance training routines, and mobility improvement techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area, ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared and readily accessible for use.
• Manage administrative tasks efficiently, including patient scheduling, documentation, and maintaining accurate progress notes in compliance with clinical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, or chronic conditions. You will help them regain mobility, strength, and overall functional capabilities through personalized therapeutic interventions. Your empathy, patience, and attention to detail will be critical as you assist patients of varying ages and backgrounds on their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to document patient care and track treatment progress.
• A solid understanding of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience

While the required qualification is two years of experience, candidates with experience in specialized therapy areas such as sports rehabilitation or post-operative recovery treatment will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a commitment to continued professional development are also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
