Work Environment

The role is situated onsite at our well-equipped hospital, conducive to teamwork and extensive collaboration among physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical professionals. Our facility features state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and a welcoming atmosphere focused on patient outcomes. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, offering two potential shifts: either 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized treatment plans aimed at helping patients regain mobility and confidence in their physical abilities.
• Guide patients through prescribed rehabilitative exercises while providing feedback and encouragement to enhance performance and compliance.
• Utilize hands-on therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, and leverage advanced therapeutic modalities and equipment to optimize patient recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in our electronic medical records (EMR) system to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
• Assist in educating patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing recovery and health maintenance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves a diverse population of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic conditions. You will engage with individuals of all ages, from young athletes to active seniors, each with unique rehabilitation goals. The focus on outpatient care allows for personalized interactions, fostering long-term relationships and better understanding of patient needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited physical therapist assistant program with a Bachelor's degree.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in an outpatient orthopedic environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a hospital setting or rehabilitation facility.
• Proficiency in electronic documentation and EMR systems.
• Specialized training in therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 75,000 to USD 85,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
