Inner Strength Holistic Well-Being Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health therapist to join our team as a full-time Addiction Recovery Specialist. In this role, you will provide critical support to individuals striving to overcome substance use disorders, facilitating their journey toward recovery and improving their overall mental well-being.

Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be remote, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your chosen workspace, while also utilizing our outpatient office facility in Thousand Oaks, California, for occasional team meetings and collaborative sessions. Our clinic promotes a supportive and inclusive work culture, where flexibility and teamwork are emphasized. The work schedule follows a standard Monday to Friday format from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

  • Conduct in-depth assessment interviews to determine the unique treatment needs, personal goals, and challenges of clients seeking assistance for substance use disorders.

  • Formulate individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic practices designed to address each client's specific circumstances.

  • Deliver personalized counseling sessions, effectively utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to empower clients in their recovery process.

  • Lead structured group therapy sessions that create a safe and supportive environment for individuals to share experiences, learn from one another, and foster community.

  • Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and multidisciplinary teammates to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to client care.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients facing substance-related emergencies, ensuring they feel safe and supported during critical times.

  • Educate clients and their families about the complexities of addiction and introduce them to effective recovery strategies, community resources, and support networks.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic records in alignment with legal standards, ensuring that all patient documentation is up-to-date and complies with ethical guidelines.

  • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Stay informed about the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of addiction treatment by engaging in ongoing professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve are individuals grappling with substance use disorders, ranging from those in the early stages of recovery to those facing complex challenges that require intensive therapeutic intervention. Your work will significantly impact their lives, helping them reclaim their autonomy and rebuild their futures.

Qualifications\n

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • \n
  • A deep understanding of substance use disorders and familiarity with recovery-oriented and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • \n
  • A minimum of two years of experience in delivering individual and group therapy within addiction treatment settings.
  • \n
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a non-judgmental and empathetic therapeutic relationship with clients.

  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring that clinical notes and patient information are managed effectively.

  • A strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a remote and in-office capacity.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
