Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the specific needs and objectives of clients entering treatment for substance use disorders.

• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions, helping clients explore their thoughts and feelings while developing coping strategies to manage triggers and cravings.

• Lead group therapy sessions, cultivating a supportive atmosphere that encourages peer interaction and shared recovery experiences.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and integrated care experience for each client.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients facing substance-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families about the nature of addiction, recovery processes, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.

• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards to support treatment continuity and compliance.

• Actively engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on adults navigating the complexities of substance use disorders, many of whom also face co-occurring mental health issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders and familiarity with therapeutic techniques designed for addiction treatment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective rapport-building and empathetic engagement with clients.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics in all interactions.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in addiction treatment, particularly in both individual and group therapy settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
