Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, catering to the modern needs of mental health practitioners while maintaining high service standards. Counselors will engage in outpatient services, interacting with patients via telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to coordinate comprehensive mental health treatment both within the clinic and with external agencies.

• Conduct in-service training sessions on mental health topics for medical, psychiatric, and security staff as needed or upon request.
\n
• Intervene in mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety of patients and staff within the facility.
\n
• Attend commitment hearings when necessary, adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines.
\n
• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with each patient’s needs, setting attainable goals and progress measures.
\n
• Document all patient interactions in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of health records.
\n
• Verify and review the mental health history of patients, including documentation of any previous psychotropic medications.
\n
• Prepare routine reports and special documentation as needed, contributing to clinical insights and operational improvements.
\n
• Work collaboratively with nursing and mental health staff to facilitate appropriate post-release referrals for continued care.

Our clinic serves a diverse range of patients, including individuals facing mental health challenges due to trauma, substance misuse, anxiety, depression, and chronic health issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois.

Compensation and Benefits\n
