Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in a bustling rehabilitation facility in the scenic Huntington Beach area. Our facility boasts modern equipment and ample space for therapy sessions, providing an ideal setting for maximizing patient outcomes. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. You will be part of a close-knit team that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) working collaboratively to support our patients' healing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific goals and needs of each patient.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and quality care.
• Provide hands-on therapy, utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques and modalities to improve patient recovery.
• Educate patients on non-surgical treatment options and promote the effective use of assistive devices.
• Design and implement rehabilitation programs aimed at enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Track progress by continually evaluating treatment effects and discussing progress with patients to foster motivation and engagement.
• Document all treatments and patient interactions accurately in our electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to optimize multidisciplinary care for our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic conditions impacting their mobility. With a focus on private medical insurance cases, you will have the opportunity to work with motivated patients who are eager to improve their functionality and regain independence. Your role will significantly contribute to helping patients transition successfully back into their normal activities and achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree and be a licensed Physical Therapist in California.
• No previous board actions or disciplinary measures should have been taken against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy and developing effective exercise regimens tailored to specific patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families, fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly valued, as this ensures a thorough understanding of patient care dynamics and treatment modalities that improve mobility and function. Candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques or training in sports rehabilitation will stand out.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
