Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of clients’ mental health to establish their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy, tailored to individual client requirements.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based practices to enhance clients’ coping strategies and support their recovery journey.

• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, complying with ethical standards and state regulations, while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.

• Engage with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to comprehensive care plans and participating in regular case consultations to optimize client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Hillsdale Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a varied client population dealing with mental health challenges, including but not limited to substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. Your role will be to build trusting relationships, encouraging clients to openly share their experiences and work collaboratively towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.

• Possess an active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse therapy is highly desirable.

• Experience working with diverse populations and in a remote therapeutic capacity is a plus.
