Joint Relief Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Sports Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our dynamic and passionate team in Virginia City, Nevada. In this full-time position, you will provide personalized care to athletes across all skill levels, from those participating in recreational activities to competitive sports enthusiasts. Your primary focus will be on injury prevention, rehabilitation from orthopedic conditions, and performance enhancement through advanced therapeutic techniques.

Work Environment

As a member of our team, you will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in the picturesque Virginia City, Nevada. This full-time role entails a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, where you will experience an engaging workplace free from techs or aides, allowing you to focus entirely on providing exceptional one-on-one patient care. Our facility features modern equipment and treatment spaces designed to promote optimal recovery and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of athletes presenting with acute and chronic sports-related injuries to develop an understanding of their specific needs.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating recovery, enhancing athletic performance, and preventing future injuries.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and sport-specific training regimens to reduce pain and restore function.
• Maintain consistent patient engagement through one-on-one sessions, providing tailored attention that fosters trust and drives successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and healthcare professionals to design and adjust rehabilitation programs, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
• Apply sport-specific injury prevention strategies and effective return-to-play protocols that prioritize athlete safety and readiness.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, using data-driven approaches to adjust therapy plans as necessary for continued improvement.
• Participate in an enriching mentorship program led by a fellowship-trained therapist to further develop your clinical skills and expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on a diverse range of patient populations, primarily athletes ranging from recreational participants to competitive sports players. You will address various sports-related injuries and conditions, ensuring each treatment is customized to align with the patient's personal goals, whether that is returning to a specific sport or improving overall physical fitness. Our commitment to individualized care ensures that each athlete receives the attention necessary for optimal recovery and performance enhancement.

Qualifications

• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active Physical Therapy license in Nevada is a must for this role.
• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient sports or orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in applying sports rehabilitation protocols and developing effective return-to-sport programs.
• Strong manual therapy skills and expertise in functional training techniques are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive patient engagement and relationships.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working alongside multidisciplinary teams in the realm of sports medicine.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation is needed.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with advanced physical therapy techniques and contemporary rehabilitation methodologies.
• Background in providing sports performance enhancement programs, with evidence of successful outcomes in prior patient cases.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers focused on comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. Our offerings include:
