Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite at our hospital-based facility located in Carson City. Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Utilize advanced equipment and tools to administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality-based treatments effectively.
• Conduct routine patient evaluations and monitor progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients on exercises and activities to enhance recovery, ensuring they understand their treatment objectives and home programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of patient care using iPad technology, complying with all regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care services.
• Provide support and mentorship to new PTA graduates, fostering their professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population mainly consists of elderly individuals and those undergoing rehabilitation following surgeries, injury recovery, or chronic pain management. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in designing and executing treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient, improving their mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
