Position Overview

The Athletics Therapy Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our full-time staff at our onsite Rehabilitation Center. A competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year will be offered, commensurate with experience.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a modern rehabilitation center located in the heart of Fredericksburg. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, occupational therapists, and physicians, our Physical Therapist will engage in a supportive work atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork and shared goals. The primary work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance that is critical to maintaining job satisfaction and personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical and functional abilities to develop customized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and reducing pain.
• Implement individual therapy sessions using various techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and patient education.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care delivery.
• Monitor and assess patient's progress regularly, modifying treatment plans as required based on observed outcomes.
• Provide education to patients, caregivers, and families on therapeutic interventions, home exercise programs, and safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory and best practice standards.

This position primarily serves a diverse range of patients, including seniors recovering from surgeries, rehabilitation following injuries, and individuals with chronic conditions that affect their mobility. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a higher degree (Master's or Doctorate) is preferred.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a rehabilitation setting is required, with a preference for those with experience in geriatrics or long-term care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation center or assisted living facility is highly desirable.
