Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and accurate mental health assessments to evaluate individual needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that integrate developmental considerations and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address various mental health challenges faced by young individuals.

• Lead family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering supportive environments for children.

• Engage in proactive collaboration with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure well-rounded patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies.

• Educate young patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment approaches, and community resources.

• Maintain compliant and accurate documentation, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical guidelines.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on best practices and research in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with children and adolescents who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Engaging with this demographic requires a compassionate, child-centered approach that prioritizes building trust and rapport.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Solid understanding of mental health disorders in children and adolescents and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic strategies.

• Demonstrated experience in individual and family therapy, particularly with young individuals.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, characterized by empathy and a child-focused ethos.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework, contributing insights and expertise.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly with a focus on child and adolescent populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
