Description Iron Skillet Restaurant , located inside Kenly 95 Petro Travel Center, is hiring experienced and motivated Station Chef to join our high-volume, full-service restaurant kitchen. If you have experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, Grill Cook, or Prep Cook and enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we offer steady hours, competitive pay, and opportunities for advancement. Requirements Line Cook Responsibilities Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and portion standards Work assigned stations such as grill, sauté, breakfast, or prep Execute orders accurately in a high-volume restaurant kitchen Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers to ensure efficient service Assist with prep work, inventory awareness, and restocking supplies Comply with all health department and company safety regulations Qualifications 1–2 years of experience as a Line Cook, Kitchen Cook, or Restaurant Cook Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Experience in a high-volume or full-service restaurant preferred Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Steady hours in a high-traffic travel center restaurant Employee meal discounts Opportunities for growth into Lead Cook or Kitchen Management roles Supportive, team-focused work environment Our Company is family-owned and operated since 1964!
