Payroll Assistant

Job Overview GCGC BIZ LLC , a full-service design-build and construction company specialising in high-quality residential and commercial projects, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our finance team. This is a Full-Time position based in United, Louisiana . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our payroll processes are managed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations. We are looking for a professional with a strong understanding of payroll procedures and a commitment to precision. The offered salary for this role is between $30,000 - $45,000 per annum , dependent on experience. Responsibilities Process payroll for all employees in an accurate and timely manner. Collect, verify, and input timesheet information and other payroll data. Calculate wages, overtime payments, deductions, and bonuses. Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees with professionalism and discretion. Prepare and submit regular payroll reports for management review. Ensure compliance with all US federal, state, and local payroll and tax regulations. Maintain organised and confidential payroll records and employee files. Assist with the preparation of year-end reports and W-2 forms. Liaise with the Human Resources department to ensure employee data is accurate and up-to-date. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Payroll Assistant, Payroll Clerk, or in a similar administrative role. A strong understanding of fundamental payroll principles and procedures. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with payroll software. Exceptional numerical skills and a high level of attention to detail. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines. The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience within the construction industry is desirable but not essential. Benefits A competitive salary package.
