Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Neuro Unit West Virginia 13-Week Travel Contract We're looking for an experienced Neuro RN to join a busy 20-bed neuroscience unit caring for patients with a variety of neurological conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with strong neuro experience who enjoy working in a collaborative environment. What We're Looking For ✅ Strong Neuro RN experience (required) ✅ Recent EPIC experience ✅ Proficiency with G-tube care ✅ BLS & NIHSS required ( NIHSS must be active at submission ) ✅ ACLS preferred Patient Population You'll care for patients with: Stroke Seizures Neurological disorders Deep Brain Stimulators (DBS) Post-operative spine surgeries Surgical neurology patients Unit Highlights 20-bed Neuro Unit Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6 Telemetry monitoring with monitor tech support RT available 24/7 (vent management handled by RT) Three CNAs per shift Charge Nurse available 24/7 Skills & Experience Strong neurological assessment skills Experience with G-tubes Familiarity with common neuro medications and drips Comfortable caring for medically complex neuro patients Ventilator experience is not required Schedule & Floating Weekend and holiday rotation required May float first to other neuro-related units, then to other appropriate units if needed Flexible scheduling is expected Orientation 1 unit orientation shift with a preceptor Submission Requirements Background or license issues must be disclosed at submission Active NIHSS certification is required before submission Recent EPIC experience is mandatory If you're an experienced Neuro Travel RN looking for your next assignment, I'd be happy to share more details and help you get submitted!
