The role is fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from home while maintaining essential client interactions through telehealth platforms. You will use secure electronic health record systems like AVATAR to manage documentation and client progress efficiently. Our telehealth setting allows for convenient access to services for clients, breaking down geographical barriers and providing support where it is most needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through initial consultations and ongoing sessions.

• Document client interactions and treatment plans meticulously from the first consultation to discharge to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies that cater to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on coping strategies and emotional expression.
\n
• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, providing feedback and adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate holistic care.

• Engage in follow-up communications with external healthcare providers for clients requiring inpatient services.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventive measures to address these challenges.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our clients face a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will utilize your expertise to provide compassionate and effective care tailored to the specific needs of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A successful completion and passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience working as a mental health counselor, preferably in a telehealth setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, and ability to manage digital documentation effectively.

• A solid understanding of addiction disorders, co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, and the best practices recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to connect with clients and colleagues alike.

• Awareness of the effects of medication prescribed by healthcare providers and how they interact with mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
