Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing pertinent medical histories and administering specific assessments to guide treatment plans.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to explain evaluation findings and collaboratively set achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement customized treatment protocols based on evaluation results, adapting to individual patient needs and the latest best practices in physical therapy.
• Engage with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and modify treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and conditions.
• Complete accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, daily notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage your schedule effectively to meet productivity expectations while maintaining excellent punctuality for meetings and patient appointments.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to enhance the visibility of our services and foster community relationships.
• Contribute to departmental goals by actively engaging in quality improvement projects and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry advancements and enhance professional competence.
• Ensure a positive customer experience by demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia (or the ability to obtain one).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
• A strong commitment to providing patient-centered care, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred.
