Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.
• Implementing and directing physical therapy modalities to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Supervising and guiding Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the efficacy of treatment plans and adherence to therapeutic modalities.
• Administering hands-on therapeutic exercises and employing techniques such as manual therapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as deemed appropriate.
• Tracking patient progress meticulously, noting changes in conditions, and modifying treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other clinical staff.
• Providing education to patients and their families on home exercise programs and the proper use and care of therapeutic equipment.
• Engaging in continuous professional development activities, attending case conferences, and contributing to a culture of learning within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those managing chronic conditions such as arthritis, and patients needing post-stroke rehabilitation. Each patient presents unique challenges, and your therapeutic interventions will focus on enhancing their quality of life through improved functional independence, mobility, and pain management.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a current valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia. Additionally, applicants should possess:

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in outpatient or home healthcare.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient engagement and family education.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of handling detailed clinical records and documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience
