Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations that include a detailed review of medical history, physical assessments, and the formulation of personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment recommendations clearly to patients and their families, ensuring they are engaged in the goal-setting process.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols effectively, continually adapting your approach based on patient progress and the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers as indicated, and document changes in patient condition, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient progress, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate exceptional time management skills, meeting established productivity targets while maintaining an organized schedule.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote our services and enhance access to care.
• Contribute to department goals and compliance with governmental and accreditation standards, supporting overall organizational effectiveness.
• Engage in continuous professional development, seeking and directing educational opportunities for yourself and serving as a mentor for students.
• Enhance patient experiences by being adaptable and responsive to their needs in a supportive and caring manner.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass working with a diverse population, including post-surgical patients, individuals recovering from injuries, and those with chronic pain conditions. You will employ a holistic approach to care, considering the physical, emotional, and social aspects of each patient's recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate degree (DPT) is preferred.
• Active and valid physical therapy licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• While two years of experience in outpatient physical therapy is preferred, we welcome recent graduates who are eager to learn and grow within our supportive environment.

Compensation and Benefits
