Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that address their specific mental health needs and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively manage mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment modalities, and self-care strategies that promote mental well-being.
\n
• Monitor clients’ ongoing progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on client feedback and clinical assessments.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the collective knowledge of the clinical team and enhancing treatment approaches.

• Advocate for clients’ needs, promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders to reduce stigma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals grappling with mood disorders, providing them with the therapeutic support they need to navigate their mental health challenges. Our clientele is diverse, encompassing a broad demographic spectrum in Yonkers and the surrounding communities, including varying backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. This role requires you to be sensitive to the unique experiences of each patient, tailoring your approach to support their individualized care effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker with R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York State.
\n
• Strong expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly in creating and executing treatment plans using CBT and DBT.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients from diverse populations, showcasing excellent interpersonal communication skills.
\n
• Proficient understanding of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and assess medication interactions with therapeutic interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, specializing in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Proven success in achieving positive client outcomes through innovative and personalized care strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, in addition to performance-based bonuses.
