Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of hospice patients, identifying their psychological, emotional, and social needs.

• Offer crisis intervention in acute situations, providing immediate support to patients and their families to facilitate mental well-being.

• Deliver psychoeducation to patients and families, equipping them with knowledge about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Stay informed of current trends and practices in mental health care, particularly in hospice settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with hospice patients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, grief, and anticipatory loss. Supporting their families and caregivers is also vital, as they often experience significant emotional distress during this transitional period. Your expertise will be essential in helping patients find peace and emotional stability during a challenging time, ensuring a focus on compassionate care.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

Compensation and Benefits\n

Compensation for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 104,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
