Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to accurately identify the mental health needs of clients, ensuring they receive tailored treatment plans matching their unique goals.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual, group, and family settings, utilizing a diverse range of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices.

• Collaborate effectively with case managers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate services and resources for each client.

• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing acute distress or in emergency situations, ensuring their safety and facilitating access to appropriate resources.

• Engage actively in community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and workshops aimed at increasing mental health awareness and reducing stigma in the local community.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Hold a current and valid license in the state of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or possess a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Possess a master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and foster therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Exhibit a strong commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity, enabling you to effectively engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Showcase strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate client records and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with at least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly with diverse populations, are highly desirable. Experience working within community mental health systems and knowledge of local mental health resources will provide a significant advantage.
