Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, initiating treatment through thoughtful preliminary interviews.

• Create tailored treatment plans, based on clients' psychiatric evaluations and feedback, to address individual, couple, family, and group needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to support diverse therapeutic needs.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes, while documenting all cases from initial consultation to discharge.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, physicians, and social workers to devise and implement intervention strategies.
\n
• Support families and primary caregivers in managing mental and behavioral challenges through guidance and resources.
\n
• Assist in managing referrals to ensure clients receive comprehensive care and support.
\n
• Stay updated on advancements in psychotherapy methodologies to incorporate best practices into your clinical work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, and other mental health conditions. Understanding and addressing the complexities of emotional and behavioral health, including the socio-cultural factors that may impact their journey, is essential. Your role will not only involve direct counseling but also empowering clients to build coping strategies and resilience in managing their mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Must hold a current and valid LMHC license in California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, for efficient case management.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with clients and their families.

• A compassionate approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, to connect meaningfully with diverse populations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in mental health counseling or similar environments, specifically dealing with anxiety disorders and addiction treatments.

• Understanding of the impacts of psychiatric medications prescribed by other medical professionals on clients' mental health.

• Familiarity with the standards and best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
