Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver short-term crisis counseling to non-violent clients experiencing mental health episodes through virtual platforms.

• Respond in real-time alongside law enforcement during mental health crises to provide immediate support and intervention.

• Educate and train police personnel on effective crisis management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations, thus minimizing the use of force.

• Manage a caseload effectively, providing case management support and ensuring seamless coordination with external agencies, including the Department of Mental Health and local psychiatric facilities.

• Maintain confidentiality and meticulous records of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings with law enforcement and healthcare professionals to enhance collaborative approaches to mental health crises.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations in the community setting to assess the need for 5150/5585 involuntary detention applications when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing acute mental health episodes, including those who are non-violent and in crisis. You will work closely with adults from diverse backgrounds, often in high-stress situations, requiring you to apply your expertise in mental health counseling and crisis intervention effectively.

Qualifications\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $122,000 annually for full-time employees, complemented by a robust benefits package.
