Job Title: General Ledger AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to support our accounting and finance team. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks.

• Manage depreciation using the straight-line method.

• Prepare financial documents including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and budget reports.

• Ensure the general ledger, taxes, and other financial information are correct and up to date.

• Close month-end accounting entries and reconcile balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

• Post to the general ledger and review variances to budget to forecast business changes.

• Review variance explanation reports for accuracy.

• Track accounts receivable and confirm all payments are properly recorded.

• Check all accounts to ensure they have the correct balances.

• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate.

• Proficiency in general ledger management and reconciliation.

• Experience with month-end closing processes and journal entries.

• Strong skills in financial reporting and accounts payable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

• Experience with the MRI system is a plus.

• Proficiency in basic computer functions.

Work Environment

This position is based in Los Angeles at 700 S Flower St and requires working on-site Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role is initially for a duration of 2 months, with the possibility of extension. The interview process involves 1-2 in-person interviews.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
