Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be performed remotely, allowing for flexible scheduling to accommodate both client needs and personal commitments. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in a school environment, you will collaborate with educational staff, students, and families to create supportive therapeutic relationships. While the majority of your work will occur during standard school hours, you may also be required to facilitate some evening or weekend sessions to provide necessary support to students and their families.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize your advanced clinical training to conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including solution-focused treatment, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavioral strategies, to address a range of mental health challenges.

• Engage in regular collaboration with educators, school administrators, and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to student mental health.

• Monitor and evaluate student progress through in-person or virtual sessions, adjusting treatment plans based on therapeutic outcomes and client feedback.

• Assist in psychotropic medication management by coordinating with medical professionals and supporting adherence while managing any associated side effects.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve students in a school setting, many of whom may be facing various challenges including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Your interventions will be critical in helping these young individuals process their emotions, develop coping strategies, and navigate their academic environments effectively. You will play an essential role in promoting mental health awareness among students, teachers, and families alike.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from a recognized and accredited institution.

• A current, valid, and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Texas.

• Minimum of one year of post-graduate experience as an independently licensed therapist providing psychological services.
