Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions within clients' homes or via teletherapy to provide targeted support based on their unique circumstances.

• Implement therapeutic techniques aimed at enhancing coping strategies, social skills, and anger management, particularly focused on reducing behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.

• Support caretakers in developing effective decision-making skills to address and manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Maintain open lines of communication with the Child Family Treatment Team, including social workers and educational staff, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
\n
• Document all interactions and treatment progress in a timely manner, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to review client progress and exchange insights and recommendations regarding therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to serve children aged 3-20 years old who are grappling with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Some of our clients may exhibit complex behavioral issues that require ongoing support and intervention. By working closely with their families and caregivers, you will have the opportunity to create tailored therapeutic programs that enhance their everyday lives and emotional health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week specifically during after-school hours from 4 to 7 PM, with additional weekend availability preferred.

• Formal training or certification in providing positive behavior support.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for potential in-home therapy sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working directly with children aged 3-20, specifically those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
\n
• Demonstrated ability in developing and executing tailored therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Familiarity with family systems therapy principles and methodologies.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
