Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Morton Comprehensive Health, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse caseload of clients, establishing rapport and fostering positive relationships while adhering to ethical and professional standards.

• Conducting regular meetings with clients to assess their progress, discuss stabilization efforts, and determine discharge when appropriate.

• Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized, person-centered treatment plans that reflect each client's unique needs and goals.

• Maintaining thorough and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans for all clients.
\n
• Conducting intake assessments to understand new clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis, providing support and strategies tailored to each client's situation.

• Engaging in regular individual supervision sessions for professional growth and case consultation.
\n
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinical services primarily target youth struggling with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and the effects of trauma. Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current and active Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of New Jersey.

• Ability to fulfill credentialing requirements specific to our clinical settings.

• Minimum of one year of professional experience providing care to psychiatric or substance abuse populations.

• Demonstrated experience in assessment, diagnosis, and provision of both individual and group therapy.

• Proficiency with computer systems and documentation; basic keyboarding skills are essential.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience working in a remote or telehealth capacity is highly valued. Familiarity with therapeutic models particularly focused on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care will also be beneficial for this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
