Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through virtual consultations, meticulously documenting client histories and treatment plans from initial intake to ongoing evaluations.

• Design and implement tailored therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapies, aimed at addressing specific mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges faced by clients.

• Monitor and document client progress, ensuring that treatment plans are adjusted as necessary to reflect any changes in the client's mental health status.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care coordination for clients, especially those requiring hospitalization.

• Identify and address behaviors and patterns that hinder recovery, applying evidence-based practices to help clients cultivate resilience and coping strategies.

• Maintain open communication with clients’ families, providing them with support and resources to manage challenges effectively.

• Actively participate in team meetings and stay informed about the latest developments in therapy and mental health treatment to integrate these insights into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Focusing on culturally competent care, you will adapt your therapeutic approaches to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, fostering a safe and supportive environment for healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with a strong clinical background.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for efficient patient documentation and management.

• Solid understanding of the psychological effects of physical health conditions and addiction-related issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, alongside a competitive sign-on bonus.
