Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Broward Care, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional limitations, needs, and goals.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques such as strength training, stretching, manual therapy, and therapeutic modalities.
• Monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to achieve optimal results.
• Educating patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and the use of assistive devices, aiding their transition to independence.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress, in compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will directly impact a varied patient population, from pediatric to geriatric clientele. Patients may present with post-operative recovery needs, chronic pain conditions, neurological disorders, and other diagnosis-specific rehabilitation challenges. Your role will be integral in helping these individuals regain their mobility and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to develop effective treatment plans based on patient assessment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and other clinical documentation systems.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with at least 2 years of experience in a physical therapy role will find this position rewarding, as you'll have the opportunity to mentor newer graduates and contribute to their professional development. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred but not required.
