Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their mental health needs.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and specific needs, facilitating a personalized approach to therapy.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients attain their mental health goals.

• Monitor and track clients' progress throughout the treatment process, making timely adjustments to treatment plans based on client feedback and clinical observations.

• Engage in family education and support initiatives that provide clients and their loved ones with information about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care across all levels of treatment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to strict legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and expertise in best practices for mood disorder treatment.

• Serve as an advocate for clients, promoting the de-stigmatization of mood disorders while ensuring their mental health needs are recognized and met.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our diverse clientele includes individuals of varying ages and backgrounds, providing you the opportunity to apply your expertise in a wide range of therapeutic scenarios. You will play a crucial role in helping clients foster coping strategies, develop resilience, and enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of qualifying experience working with clients facing mood disorders, learning disabilities, behavioral issues, and social/emotional disorders.

• Proficient understanding of California laws and professional ethics related to mental health counseling.
\n
• Successful completion of a current background check through the FBI and DOJ.
\n
• A current TB Test within the last 6 months is mandatory.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in addiction counseling and treatment is highly desirable.
\n
• Familiarity with various therapeutic methodologies beyond CBT and DBT is a plus.

• Previous roles within a multidisciplinary therapeutic team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
