Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain comprehensive medical histories from patients presenting with cardiovascular issues.
• Order, collect, analyze, and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and laboratory tests, aiding in the accurate assessment of patient health.
• Formulate and execute individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, incorporating evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
• Prescribe medications and recommend therapeutic interventions based on the latest research and protocols, ensuring a focus on safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide patient education to enhance understanding of medical conditions, drug regimens, and lifestyle adjustments, promoting overall health and wellness.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment strategies and contribute to patient care plans.
• Manage patients in various settings, including inpatient units and emergency services, adapting to the needs of the healthcare environment.
• Perform invasive procedures within the scope of practice as delegated by supervising physicians, enhancing the breadth of patient care services.
• Respond to on-call duties as required, ensuring continuity of care during weekends and off-hours.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Cardiology Physician Assistant, you will primarily care for patients suffering from heart-related conditions, including but not limited to hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease. You will engage with a diverse patient population, addressing varying degrees of cardiovascular health issues, and tailoring your approach to meet individual patient needs and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Certification: Current PA license and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Experience: Previous experience in a cardiology setting is preferred but not required; new graduates with a strong clinical background are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, including opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
